Before you begin — please read:

• A Moving permit is required for any travelling equipment or device which is over 14 feet high; over 65 feet long; wider than 8 feet 6 inches; or heavier than 40 tons (80,000 lbs).
• All Moving Permits shall comply with the City of Pasadena Ordinance.
• In addition, the applicant shall provide the City with updated insurance information, which is subject to the City's general insurance requirements:
  Auto Liability: Combined Single Limit of $1,000,000 per occurrence, with “City of Pasadena, its Council Members, Commissioners, officers, employees, and agents” as Certificate Holder.
  • Additional Insured Endorsement form(s) Naming as Additional Insured: “City of Pasadena..." (use full statement highlighted above).
  • Endorsement Waiver of the Right of Subrogation for Auto Liability against the "City of Pasadena..." (use full statement highlighted above).
• Moving Companies with insurance already on file: allow a minimum of two (2) working days for permit issuance. City is closed every other Friday; applications received on off-Fridays will be processed the following working Monday.
• All others: allow a minimum of two (2) WEEKS for permit issuance.
